R&D Systems personnel manually curate a database that contains references using R&D Systems products. The data collected includes not only links to publications in PubMed, but also provides information about sample types, species, and experimental conditions. Migration of myeloid cells during inflammation is differentially regulated by the cell surface receptors Slamf1 and Slamf8. | |

背景 | BLAME (B-lymphocyte activator macrophage expressed), also known as SLAM family member 8, is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the CD2 subset of the Ig superfamily cell receptors. The 258 amino acid (aa) mature mouse BLAME contains a 211 aa extracellular domain (ECD) with an Ig V- and a C2-like domain, and a 26 aa cytoplasmic tail that lacks signaling motifs. BLAME is expressed by activated monocytes and dendritic cells. Although the function of BLAME is not known, it is likely involved in homotypic binding or heterotypic interactions with other CD2 subset members. Over the ECD region used as immunogen, mouse BLAME shares 95% and 78% aa identity with rat and human BLAME, respectively. |
