| 背景 | HSF4 (heat shock factor 4) is a 55 kDa member of the HSF family of transcription factors. It is highly expressed in lens where it maintains lens integrity and blocks FGF synthesis. Mouse HSF4B is 492 amino acids in length. It contains one DNA binding region (aa 17‑122) and a Leu-zipper trimerization domain (hydrophobic repeat‑A/B) (aa 129‑203). Two additional potential isoforms exist. The first isoform, termed HSF4A, is transcriptionally inactive and shows a 45 aa substitution for aa 245‑319. The second isoform shows an 18 aa substitution for the first 78 amino acids of the N-terminus. Over aa 343‑492, mouse HSF4 shares 93% and 72% aa sequence identity with rat and human HSF4, respectively. |
