背景 | DYRK2 (Dual-specificity tyrosine [Y] phosphorylation regulatedkinase2) is a member of the MNB/DYRK subfamily, CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family of enzymes. DYRK2 is expressed in multiple tissues and shows dual substrate specificity. Autophosphorylation on Tyr382 leads to self-activation, while target proteins are Ser/Thr phosphorylated. Targets include NFATc, glycogen synthase, and p53. p53 phosphorylation on Ser46 by DYRK2 leads to cell apoptosis in response to DNA damage. Human DYRK2 is 601 amino acids (aa) in length, and contains one kinase catalytic domain (aa 222‑535). |

Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat DYRK2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line, BaF3 mouse pro‑B cell line, C2C12 mouse myoblast cell line, and L6 rat myoblast cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat DYRK2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF5408) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). Specific bands were detected for DYRK2 at approximately 58 to 62 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1. |
