| 背景 | TFF3 (Trefoil factor 3; also hP1.B and intestinal trefoil factor) is a 7 kDa member of the trefoil factor family of protease-resistant peptides. It is expressed by multiple epithelial cell types, acts in an autocrine or paracrine manner and contributes to epithelial cell migration and survival. Mature human TFF3 is 59 amino acids (aa) in length (aa 22-80). It contains one P (or trefoil) domain that is characterized by the presence of three cysteine bond-mediated loops (aa 30-72). Human TFF3 exists as both a monomer and disulfide-linked dimer. There are three potential isoform variants. One shows an alternate start site at Met8, a second shows a 50 aa N‑terminal extension and a third shows a 109 aa substitution for aa 29-80. Over aa 21-80, human TFF3 shares 77%, 68%, and 72% aa identity with mouse, canine, and rat TFF3, respectively. |

Detection of Human TFF3 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human small intestine tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human TFF3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4407) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for TFF3 at approximately 7 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 8. | |
