| 背景 | HS6ST2 is a key enzyme in HS biosynthesis. There are at least threealternatively spliced forms, which include a long form (645 aa,NP_001070656), an intermediate form (605 aa, Q96MM7) with 40 aa deletedbetween Arg 316 and Asn 357 of the long form, and a short form startingat Met 147 of the intermediate form. Both the long and intermediateforms predict a type II membrane protein, consistent with its Golgilocation. The long form of human HS6ST2 shares 94% and 86% aa sequenceidentities with that of chimpanzee, dog, mouse, rat, and chicken,respectively. |
