背景 | The Mre11 protein exhibits both exo- and endonuclease activities and is a component of the Mre11/Rad50/Nbs1 (MRN) complex. The MRN complex binds chromatin in regions of DNA double-strandbreaks (DSB) during the normal cell cycle and in response to genotoxic stress, and is involved in control of DSB repair during homologous recombination. |

Detection of Human Mre11 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line and K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Human Mre11 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2284) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Chicken IgY Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for Mre11 at approximately 100 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1. |
