| 背景 | Livin alpha (KIAP) and Livin beta (ML-IAP) are two splice forms generated from the livin gene. Livin is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) family that contains a baculovirus single IAP repeat (BIR) and a C-terminal RING finger domain. Livin inhibits the activation of caspases 9 and/or 3 when activated in specific cell lines. Livin alpha is a splice variant 18 amino acids longer in the BIR-RING linking region than the livin beta splice variant. The isoforms differ in their apoptotic properties. |

Detection of Human Livin by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of SK-Mel-28 human malignant melanoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL Goat Anti-Human Livin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1161) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). For additional reference, Recombinant Human Livin alpha /KIAP (Catalog # 1161-LV) and Recombinant Human Livin beta /ML-IAP (Catalog # 787-LV) (0.5 ng/lane) were included. A specific band for Livin was detected at approximately 34 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 4. | |
Detection of Human Livin by Simple WesternTM. Simple Western lane view shows lysates of SK‑Mel‑28 human malignant melanoma cell line, loaded at 0.2 mg/mL. A specific band was detected for Livin at approximately 42 kDa (as indicated) using 5 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human Livin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1161) followed by 1:50 dilution of HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109).
