| 背景 | EXTL3 is an ER-resident type II transmembrane protein belonging to theEXT family of tumor suppressor genes. EXT family members are glycosyltransferases that are involved in the synthesis of theglycosaminoglycan chains of heparan sulfate proteoglycans. EXTL3 wasalso reported to be a receptor for the REG protein, a pancreaticbeta-cell regeneration factor. The amino acid sequence of rhEXTL3 is98%, 97%, 88%, and 83% identical to that of dog, rat/mouse, Xenopus and zebrafish. |
