| 背景 | Neurogenin-1 is a 26 kDa developmentally expressed nuclear protein of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family, class B subfamily. bHLH proteins are transcription factors that form dimers to bind DNA. NGN1 is expressed only in embryonic neural tissue and supports neuronal differentiation but inhibits glial cell differentiation. Human Neurogenin-1 shows 93% amino acid identity with both mouse and rat Neurogenin-1 over the sequence used as an immunogen. |
