| 描述 | Butylated hydroxy toluene (BHT) is a phenolic antioxidant and free radical scavenger. It has been shown to inhibit lipid peroxidation.1 Some biomarkers, like 8-isoprostanes, need to be collected on specific antioxidant in order to prevent artefactual formation or degradation of the biomarker. The BHT containing tubes have been designed to accept 1 ml of samples. The crytubes are graduated, with a silicone washer sealed and external threads. They can be stored at temperatures as low as -196°C but should be used only in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen.
