描述 | Spermidine is a natural polyamine produced from putrescine and decarboxylated S-adenosylmethionine (dcSAM) by spermidine synthase. With a second molecule of dcSAM, it is converted to spermine by spermine synthase. Both reactions also produce SAM. Spermidine plays diverse roles in signal transduction and metabolism.1,2,3,4 Polyamines, including spermidine, are involved in growth, development, and stress responses in plants.5 |
