背景 | SP140 nuclear body protein-like (SP140L) is a protein with significant sequence similarity to SP140, a component of the nuclear body that may be involved in trafficking between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The protein is expressed as four isoforms produced by alternative splicing, SP140L contains one HSR domain, one PHD-type zinc finger, a bromodomain and one SAND domain. The bromodomain functions as a ‘reader’ of epigenetic histone marks and regulates chromatin structure and gene expression by linking associated proteins to the recognized acetylated nucleosomal targets. |
