The inhibition of ceramidase in both malignant and non-cancerous cells leads to apoptosis.1,2 D-NMAPPD is a potent ceramidase inhibitor that induces apoptosis in human colorectal cancer, keratinocyte, and melanoma cell lines.3,4 D-NMAPPD produces approximately 50% cell non-viability at 10 µM and >80% cell death at 100 µM.4 |
