| 背景 | PPAR-gamma is a member of the peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor (PPAR) subfamily of nuclear receptors. PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes. The PPAR-gamma isoform regulates fatty acid storage and glucose metabolism and is regarded as a master regulator of adipogenesis. In pluripotent stem cell research, overexpression of PPAR-gamma has been used to promote adipocyte differentiation. |
