描述 | Mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) are a family of serine/threonine protein kinases that are involved in many cellular programs such as cell proliferation, cell differentiation, cell movement, and cell death.1,2,3 PD 98059 is a selective noncompetitive inhibitor of the mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) pathway.4,5 It prevents the activation of MAPKK1 by Raf or MEK kinase (a MAPKKK) with an IC50 value of 2-7 µM but does not inhibit Raf-activated MAPKK1.6 PD 98059 inhibits Raf activation of MAPKK2 less effectively with an IC50 value of 50 µM.6 |
